Inspiring Story of Arnold Schwarzenegger

on

The name that needs no introduction, Arnold Schwarzenegger, has inspired many with his trending and thought-provoking contemporary strategies for success. His life and career have been standing inspiration to millions.

Most of us know about the Arnold Schwarzenegger and the 70s. Dominant. Alpha. The champion. By the end of the 70s, Arnold has already won seven Mr Olympia titles and his name is already held high and spoken about by people around the world! However, people tend to forget about the humble beginnings of the legendary Austrian Oak.

At the end of his bodybuilding career, Arnold had already won 7 Mr Olympia titles. However, what's more inspirational is how thing legendary champ came about.

The Governor was born  on July 30, 1947 in Austria to a pair of very strict parents. Money was a problem in the family too. But despite being born without the privileges many of us have (loving parents and a financially sound family), Arnold was a very determined kid. In 1962, at the age of only 15, Arnold started weight training. And even just as a skinny, poor and unknown kid, that’s the beginning of very legend we know today.

At  the age of only 17, Arnold joined his first bodybuilding contest, Jr. Mr Europe and yes, he won. By the age of 20, Arnold became the youngest Mr Universe ever and his name begun to spread in the bodybuilding realm. By the end of his bodybuilding career, Arnold have won seven Mr Olympia titles (the pinnacle of bodybuilding titles)!

Alright. Let’s face some facts. Nowadays, we have plenty of bodybuilders who are way bigger than Arnold, due to advancement in sports science, training and nutrition. Plus, his record of most Mr Olympia titles has also been beaten by Ronnie Coleman and Lee Haney.

In 1968, at age 21, Arnold moved to the US with only $20 and very little English-speaking ability. He was brought under the wings of the late Joe Weider (pictured here) and soon became a bodybuilding star. But it wasn't all easy for Arnold. To make ends meet, he had to do odd jobs, including bricklaying.

So kids (or anyone who consider themselves young at heart), there’s this one message which I want to deliver from young Arnold’s story. This is the most powerful message you’ll ever hear and very few of you will learn it from school.

So bodybuilder out there if u want to build yourself  don’t give up on your dreams and do whatever it take to make it come true! It will take sacrifice, dedication and even breaking some rules, but it will be worth it. Greatness doesn’t come easily. If it does, it’s not great.;)
